I lik that my wife and I get paid in separate ways. It seems like there is a steady trickle of pennies instead of lump sums

You should try not getting paid from June 20-Sept 5.

That’s me every 5th and 20th ... especially every June 20th, but then I don’t get paid again until Sept 5th.

My wife used to get paid monthly. She actually liked it. I don’t think I could get used to it.
She started a new job which is bi weekly. The best part is it doesn’t line up with my biweekly pay checks. We have a check every week, and it is great.

August is rough. It used to be worse when my wife worked. I had to pay for three weeks of daycare before my first check. That was a $1200 bite out of my ass.
